1. How quickly can I expect to have a selected healthcare professional start wok in my facility once the interview process is completed?
From the time a US licensed healthcare professional is selected, it may be as little as 4 to 6 weeks until they commence work depending on state specific licensure/endorsement timelines. Some states have longer licensure timelines for foreign educated professionals than others. Avant maintains recruitment pipeline of highly qualified healthcare professionals who are in various stages of the licensure and immigration process. When we present candidates for Client interview we provide estimated start dates.
2. What is your screening and hiring process?
The screening process begins with competency testing, a thorough review of experience and clinical practice settings, and reference verification. Emphasis is placed on clinical skill validation and preparation for the clinical transition to the US. Avant is a Joint Commission Certified staffing agency and is committed to ethical international recruitment. Recruitment efforts at Avant are lead by an experienced team of healthcare professionals with decades of international recruitment experience.
3. Who is responsible for the transition of the healthcare professional including obtaining the social security card, driver license, securing housing, assisting with purchase of automobiles as well as supporting them through the cultural and clinical transition to the US?
Avant has comprehensive infrastructure to support healthcare professionals through every step of the transitioning process and cultural adjustment. Our staff understands that every healthcare professional will experience "culture shock" at varying degrees. We prepare each healthcare professional for the process and then communicate with them regularly as the begin their assignment with the Client. Avant has planned for the challenges facing a healthcare professional new to the US. We have relationships with a variety of vendors to obtain credit, automobiles, insurance, etc.
4. What are the upfront costs and fees?
The Client does not incur any costs until the healthcare professional begins work at the facility. The hourly bill rate charged throughout the 3300 hour assignment term covers all recruitment, licensure, immigration and transition expenses.
5. What are the hourly bill rates?
Our cost effective solution eliminates the excessive travel, per diem, and per placement fees and the need for sign on bonuses. Partnering with Avant Healthcare can save you $7-$11 an hour over travel rates for annualized savings that can exceed $21,000 on therapists over travel and per diem contract rates. 6. Are there buyout or conversion fees at the end of the 3300 hour assignment?
There are no buyout or conversion fees paid to Avant at the time the healthcare professionals joins the Client staff upon completion of the assignment.
7. What is your success rate in converting Healthcare Professionals to the client's full time staff?
Over 90% of healthcare professionals join the Client's permanent staff upon completion of the assignment through Avant. The main goal of our Client facilities is to build their core staff. Our entire international recruitment, transitioning and placement program is developed to support this goal.
