The Heartbeat of ChildHope

According to UNICEF, an estimated 250,000 children live on the streets of the Philippines, with 50,000 to 70,000 of them found in Metro Manila alone. Many of these children grow up in poverty, with limited or no access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. These are the gaps that contribute to alarmingly high health risks and mortality rates.

ChildHope Philippines is a nonprofit organization with a heart for children in street situations and serving as a beacon of hope where it’s needed most.  With our Avant Global Impact program, we’re proud to stand beside them in supporting their life changing mobile clinic program.

KliniKalye has one mission: to bring healthcare right to the streets where they are. From preventive check-ups to essential treatments, this mobile clinic reaches out to kids across the streets of Manila. Guided by the compassionate leadership of Dr. Josefina Pamela “Doc Pam” Carpio, KliniKalye gives every child the opportunity to stay healthy, thrive, and move closer to their full learning potential.

A Day of Care and Kindness

It was a bright and sunny morning in the lively streets of Ermita Manila, a perfect backdrop for a meaningful medical mission. Our Avant Healthcare Professionals nurses were thrilled to volunteer alongside Doc Pam, checking on children’s health while sharing laughter, high fives, and plenty of smiles.

But the fun didn’t stop at check-ups. We hosted a storytelling session about caring for the environment, and the kids were all ears, fully engaged and bursting with creativity. Their excitement reached new heights when they got to perform their own skits, acting out what they had learned in the story. The creativity and energy of these little performers were contagious.

It was more than a medical mission. It was a morning filled with learning, laughter, and hope. All in the heart of the streets.

The Heart of the Mission: Volunteers and NGO Impact

At Avant Healthcare Professionals, we take pride in supporting community organizations that share our mission and in celebrating our healthcare professionals who bring that mission to life every day. None of this impact would be possible without the dedication, passion, and contributions of the amazing individuals listed below:

“I just want to share how grateful I am to everyone who was with us during our KliniKalye session. We always welcome, and highly encourage, our donors and partners to come with us during our actual activities on the streets and communities. Your visits and your presence at the communities always encourage us to continue working with our beneficiaries because we feel that so many want to help. The same is true for volunteer nurses. In addition, having nurses really made the work easier and more manageable. It gave me more time to talk to each child. Their presence also made the whole process of checking-up and dispensing more efficient. I hope the nurses also have a meaningful time with us, and that more nurses volunteer with us in the future. Again, thank you very much!

It was an honor to be part of the event and to be part of something that means so special to the children. Especially to those who do not have regular access to healthcare is something that melts my heart.

“Seeing KliniKalye in action for the first time was deeply moving. For so many of the children, a visit from Doc Pam and the KliniKalye team isn’t just about receiving medical care; it’s about connection, comfort, and knowing someone truly cares. Watching that compassion in action reminded me how small acts of care can have such a lasting impact on a child’s sense of hope and belonging. We can all make a difference wherever we are.”

“Participating in KliniKalye several times has been both humbling and fulfilling. Through this program, we offer a lifeline of care and hope to children in street situations. I am always moved to see how every child longs to be seen, cared for, and heard. Their dedication to meeting with Doc Pam and the joy they show during their educational sessions reminds me that hope shines brightly in every smile. The compassion and commitment demonstrated by ChildHope through this program leave a lasting impact on each child’s future. I am grateful that our company shares the same mission, and I believe that together, we can change lives, one child at a time.”
