Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition team with all tasks and activities related to the hiring lifecycle.  This position will contribute to the overall success of the TA team by providing excellent customer service to all parties involved, including hiring managers, candidates and new hires throughout the hiring and onboarding process. 

Essential Functions of the Job  

  • Assist the TA team and Hiring Managers with drafting clear and precise job descriptions, recruitment ads, etc. that meet company and regulatory standards 
  • Ensure all internal systems and databases are kept up to date with correct information, including interview details, applicant data, etc.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough completion of the application and any required assessments prior to scheduling interviews
  • Post and update recruitment ads on all contracted third-party sites, including Indeed, LinkedIn, Avant website, Handshake, and ZipRecruiter
  • Source potential candidates for open requisitions through phone calls, e-mails and In-Mails at the direction of the TA team
  • Under the recruiter’s direction, review applications and pre-qualify applicants against job description minimum requirements and manager specifications
  • Schedule phone, skype and in person interviews with candidates for recruiters and hiring managers 
  • Meet and welcome all candidates to the Avant offices for in person interviews
  • Develop in depth knowledge of the Avant ATS system to improve and maintain the ability for tracking and reporting on applicant data and recruitment activity
  • Assist all applicants throughout the candidate life cycle by scheduling assessments/ interviews, maintaining communication throughout the process, and providing support and follow-up to ensure a great candidate experience 
  • Assist in the preparation of candidate interviews for the hiring teams by sending calendar confirmations, resumes, assessment results, PI profiles, providing interview notes and other applicable materials
  • Conduct post-interview follow ups with hiring managers to guide recruiters on next steps for all candidates going through the hiring process
  • Create, maintain and submit reports on a regular basis to recruiters and HR manager as required 
  • Assists with all Talent Acquisition initiatives and recruiting events (university fairs, etc.)
  • Respond to general recruitment inquiries and complete special assignments and projects as needed
  • Effectively partner and collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and the corporate HR team to deliver a dynamic and seamless candidate experience through the hiring and onboarding process
  • Adhere to all employment laws and data privacy regulations

  • Create and maintain department SOP’s
  • Other duties as assigned 

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position and core hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required  
  • 1-2 years of work experience in a business support role; talent acquisition or HR related preferred
  • Solid understanding and experience with systems and social media technology as it relates to Talent Acquisition (i.e. ATS, HRIS, LinkedIn, etc.). 
  • Strong sense of urgency with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with high volume
  • Assertive and proactive; positive attitude; willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with candidates and hiring managers
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification

Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely operates standard office equipment. 


Internal: Daily contact with professional staff members, and contracted field staff.
External: Regular contact with vendors.
