Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for managing all distribution channels, and deployment of sales for the organization. This role is responsible for developing the strategic plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer/client satisfaction for the organization. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will also be responsible for business and market development, customer/client management, management of market research, strategic direction for promotion and advertising, sales growth, and customer satisfaction. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will also oversee the strategic direction, planning, and budget of the Sales & Marketing division.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Direct and oversee the strategic operations of the Sales & Marketing division, and supervise/coach managers to ensure departmental goals and objectives are met
- Monitor activity/KPIs within the division, delegate tasks, and follow up as needed
- Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports using data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
- Establish and implement short and long-range division goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
- Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
- Work closely with the marketing departments to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
- Work closely with the business development department to secure new business and negotiate contracts with prospective clients including pricing and terms agreeable to Avant
- Manage key customer/client relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
- Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
- Represent Avant by attending PR and social media events, as well as trade shows and conferences as needed

Normal Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 year of experience in a senior-level sales and/or marketing position
- Experience within the Healthcare staffing industry preferred
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and electronic database management
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification and ability to obtain and maintain
