Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities 

The Clinical Assessment Specialist is responsible for conducting specific assigned clinical assessments for international Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in recruitment and selection and placement processes with Avant. This role is also responsible for conducting interview preparation with HCPs prior to their Avant client interviews. In addition, Clinical Assessment Specialist may assist with collecting information from HCPs prior to their arrival to the United States as required for their assigned placement and assisting in conducting scheduling clinical assessments and practice-interviews for Clinical Assessment Managers (CAMs). This role will maintain internal databases with accurate records, complete initial reviews of HCP resumes, and ensure all pertinent information is collected in a timely manner. 

Essential Functions of The Job 

  • Complete assigned and specific clinical assessments for HCP’s during the recruitment and placement phase of the Avant program utilizing clinical outlines and questions as directed by Manager 
  • Complete interview preparation with assigned HCP’s prior to client interviews for placement 
  • Complete all documentation associated with assessment and interview process and update in the internal database (ABMS) 
  • Assist with scheduling phone calls with HCPs as requested to obtain the necessary information necessary to ensure proper placement and update their personal record in our internal database (ABMS) accordingly 
  • Complete an initial review of resumes to confirm dates and locations of employment to prepare the resume to be reviewed by the Clinical Assessment Manager 
  • Assist with scheduling assessment calls for the Clinical Assessment Managers (CAMs) as requested and ensure the weekly required interview numbers are scheduled for each CAM 
  • Schedule client practice interviews with the CAMs as required 
  • Regularly communicate directly with HCPs via email and phone call as needed
  • Upload and track required documents, including but not limited to, skills checklists, client checklists, and resumes 
  • Update internal database (QuickBase) and all applicable candidate records and reports to ensure accurate information, as required
  • Submit and update reports to managers as needed
  • Attend and participate in meetings with other team members and departments to ensure up to date information is shared
  • Assist the Clinical Assessment department with other administrative and recordkeeping duties as required
  • Represent Avant Healthcare Professional Program in a professional manner while building rapport and trust with HCPs as they go through the Avant process

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Education, Training, And Experience

  • Minimum of High school degree
  • Completed LPN program required 
  • Minimum of 3 years related LPN experience required 
  • Excellent communication and written skills 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe required

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification
  • Active LPN Florida license without restrictions is required

Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely operates standard office equipment. 


  • Internal: Daily contact with professional staff members, and contracted field staff.
  • External: Regular contact with vendors.
