Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The Client Services Clinical Advisor is responsible for providing clinical guidance and education to the Client Services team, Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Clients (Hospital).  This role will create clinical assessment profiles for client submissions to ensure appropriate placement plans for each HCP and provide guidance to determine best allocation of the HCP for our clients based on nursing needs. 

Essential Functions of the Job

PEOPLE

  • Contribute clinical information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement process improvement plans; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends and report to the AVP of Client Services for escalation
  • Analyze the department’s clinical placement determination process to pinpoint opportunities and areas for improvement and evaluate results to provide feedback in a timely manner
  • Act as a point of contact within Client Services for clinical advice regarding questions and concerns about placement and the match process
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Global Recruitment, Client Services, Quality Assurance, Clinical Education, Nursing, Transitions, ESS, Licensure, and Immigration to resolve client and HCP matters
  • As needed, participate on calls regarding client complaints and concerns to seek timely and mutually beneficial resolutions
  • Conduct practice interviews with HCPs prior to their Avant client interview, as needed

PROCESS

  • Track and maintain communication with the Client Services team during development of submittal plans and ensure databases are updated to accurately reflect potential placements
  • Build a database of expected clinical skills by: country, facility, experience and qualifications to assist in placing nurses for applicable US hospital units 
  • May be required to conduct preparatory online webinars on interview guidelines and scenarios for practice interviews of HCPs
  • Communicate clinical needs (specialties) for open job orders to Client Services and Sales on a bi-weekly basis to facilitate placement
  • Chair monthly meetings with applicable department clinicians to evaluate US hospital capabilities and identify specific unit needs and training to enhance proper placement and success
  • Track and document specific concerns highlighted during the assessment process, and communicate to relevant departments, to assist in improving the overall screening and selection criteria as well as to identify potential skills or information that would need to be added to Avant’s recruitment, pre-arrival and/or clinical transition programs
  • Provide clinical support during the new client welcome/onboarding process and clinical unit descriptions to gather pertinent information which will allow for a successful placement at respective hospital

PRODUCTIVITY

  • Ensure service levels and key metrics are consistently met each month through monitoring of job orders and HCP pipeline 
  • Develop workflows and processes to meet departmental KPI’s and maximize mobility of the prearrival pipeline, including accuracy of assessments and match process
  • Create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in the department processes
  • Create submittal plans for the HCP to allow for efficient flow through placement process in the department as needed
  • Attend weekly meetings designed to monitor status of HCP pending placement to provide real time input and receive input on client’s acceptance of HCP

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to meet the essential functions of the job.

Education, Training, And Experience

  • BSN required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate as well as develop workflow and process to generate results
  • Proven ability to work with a team to accomplish objectives and must have a high attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification, or ability to obtain
  • Active RN Florida license without restrictions is required

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely operates standard office equipment.
  • Travel may be required
