Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The Payroll Support Analyst II is responsible for validating and preparing the inputs for the Payroll Operations team.  This role will be required to develop an understanding of client contracts and have extensive knowledge of FLSA regulations to identify and calculate employee payments outside of normal timekeeping.  The Payroll Support Analyst II will ensure accurate and timely preparation of payroll input files by following the internal payroll processing procedures and regulations, in comparison to client contracts. This role will directly partner with the Payroll Operations team on validating and preparing historical edits and/or incentives and bonuses.  The Payroll Support Analyst II will assist the payroll teams in maintaining client company relations and providing excellent customer service. 

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Directly partner with the Payroll team with validating and preparing historical edits and incentives and bonuses
  • Validate calculated mark up and gross-up, signatures, approvals, validity against client contract, and good standing of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) 
  • Ensure there are no duplicates with historical hour adjustments and/or incentive payment requests
  • Process requests accordingly based on timing and type of requests received (current pay period, historical, future)
  • Create and prepare historical adjustments and/or incentive input/import files for payroll operations team while ensuring appropriate backup and approvals for all transactions
  • Manage, research, and resolve payroll issues for assigned employees
  • Perform complex calculations as needed
  • Follow scheduled processes and procedures to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Support the Payroll teams with providing excellent service by serving as a backup to other team members as needed
  • Coordinate and resolve open payroll questions and issues for the Payroll Support and/or Payroll Operations teams
  • Work closely with the Field Navigators and/or the Client Services team to ensure high-quality level of customer service is provided
  • Provide quality control over data integrity for both the payroll team and the HCPs
  • Actively work with the Field Navigators and/or the Client Services teams to create processes, manage timing, and drive efficiency to partner with the clients to get the information needed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide quality control over checks and balance owner and accountable party to ensure all incentives received during the week are processed by the payroll ops team
  • Support the Revenue Cycle Management Analysts by preparing and input historical edits and invoice issues as well as ensuring successful billing of payment, incentive, and bonus payments

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • High school or equivalent required, Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in finance, accounting, and/or payroll
  • Minimum 4 years of required related experience in payroll processing
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multitask multiple priorities simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and maintain a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to work in a team environment, fostering positive and productive relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office), KRONOS Workforce Dimensions, data entry, and other databases

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification and ability to obtain and maintain
