Summary of Position 

The Recruiter I is responsible for communicating with and processing applicant pipelines and handling direct and indirect applicants. This role utilizes Behavioral Interview techniques, screens, and interviews and recommends which applicants to move forward within the Avant Program. The Recruiter I develops a recruitment pipeline to meet key performance indicators and established individual and departmental goals, while generating reports of recruitment activities and following service level agreements.   

Essential Functions of the Job 

  • Process all direct and agent healthcare professionals’ referrals and ensures they meet the requirements of the program by providing a response within 24-48 hours of initial inquiry 
  • Represent in a professional manner the Avant Healthcare program while building rapport and trust with applicants as they apply 
  • Screen applications and identifies qualified healthcare professionals utilizing the company and departmental standards and objectives
  • Pre-screen applicants against the Avant program screening criteria and requirements and ensures pre-interview documentation (resume, screening exams, skills list, and others) is in place 
  • Schedule interviews with international candidates at a high-volume for RN-Recruiters and follows up to ensure outcome is communicated to the applicant in a timely manner
  • Follow up from the return of the contract to ensure all documentation is on file before the file is transferred to QA/Document Control within 2 weeks of contract being returned and communicates information to all parties involved
  • Submit updates reports to Manager as needed 
  • Provide ideas for recruiting plans to increase applicant pool of qualified candidates using active and passive sourcing techniques
  • Manage activity in the applicant tracking system
  • Determine candidate qualifications by conducting interviews using behavioral assessments and analyzing responses
  • Respond to, resolves, troubleshoots any issues arising in the recruitment process
  • Attend and assists with the organization of international recruitment trips and works to secure attendees
  • Attend recruitment trips as assigned 
  • Complete 20-25 pre-screen connection calls per day 
  • Schedules 20-25 interviews per week 
  • Obtain a minimum of 50 contracts signed per month from interviews scheduled 
  • Process applicants to interview within 30 days of initial inquiry 
  • Ensure files are moved to the QA department within 24-48 hours of contract being received
  • Ensure file is made ready for review within 65 days of initial offer

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree; will consider other qualifications and a minimum of 0-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel internationally

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification

Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely operates standard office equipment. 
  • Travel may be required

Communication 

  • Internal: Daily contact with professional staff members, and contracted field staff.
  • External: Regular contact with vendors.
