Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist collaborates with the Marketing team to develop and implement the company’s creative marketing content and public relations communication strategies. This role works with internal and external clients, media, and key audiences to promote Avant Healthcare Professionals.

Essential Functions of The Job

  • Develop and execute creative marketing communications and PR strategies and plans to enhance the brand image and engage key decision-makers.
  • Utilize various writing frameworks and styles such as PAS (Problem-Agitate-Solve), AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) to enhance conversion rates on landing pages, email copy, print, and more
  • Solidify brand voice and tone, and ensure all copy is unified within the brand voice guidelines.
  • Write mostly middle-of-funnel copy that brings Avant Healthcare Professionals and its mission to life for all channels, including social media, email, website, editorial, ads, infographics, landing pages, and offline formats.
  • Write compelling blog articles, press releases, presentations, eBooks, newsletters, and other content to establish thought leadership and emotional storytelling.
  • Utilizes SEO best practices on blog articles, informed through tools such as AHREFS.
  • Coordinate client communications, gather testimonials, and explore branding opportunities.
  • Build relationships with media and key audiences for coverage and pitching opportunities.
  • Respond to online reviews, own reputation management, and monitor media coverage.
  • Manage budgets, track spending, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Research and share the latest staffing and healthcare industry copy innovation, trends, and linguistic styles.
  • Collaborate on tradeshow planning and creative.
  • Share best practices and train and develop new team members as needed.

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, based in the Maitland Corp office with core hours of workdays Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a salaried position and may work additional hours that may include night and weekend events.

Education, Training, And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or other applicable area of study
  • Minimum of five years experience in copywriting or PR
  • Love of writing in all forms and across channels with ability to adapt tone and style while ensuring cohesive brand voice
  • Strong organizational skills and track record of entrepreneurial projects and improvements
  • Strong project management and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Deep understanding of written storytelling strategy
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal including proficiency in AP style writing skills, technical and creative writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Track record of innovation, curiosity, and creative thinking
  • Proven understanding and use of marketing and its role in business
  • Understanding of social media landscapes and online reputation basics required
  • Healthcare experience is preferred

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification
