Once you have submitted your application online, an initial review will be conducted. If you qualify to move forward, you’ll receive access to our online platform where you’ll be asked to watch a few short videos about our program and complete a quick survey. You’ll then be scheduled for 1-2 telephone interviews so we can learn more about you, discuss our program, and share the next steps. Once this is complete, we’ll determine if we can extend an offer to you!

Yes, all registered nurses practicing in the U.S. are required to take and pass the NCLEX-RN. The NCLEX-RN tests a nurse’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in the safe practice of nursing and the results are used by the U.S. nursing boards when making licensure decisions.

No, you do not need to pass the NCLEX-RN before applying with Avant. We provide an in-depth review program for the NCLEX-RN that focuses on the unique learning needs of the foreign-trained nurse. Learn about our NCLEX-RN Review Program.

If you have already taken and passed the NCLEX-RN—congratulations! We will request documentation for verification purposes during the recruitment process. If qualified to join our program, we’ll work as quickly as possible to file your employer-sponsored visa!

Yes, you can still apply but you will have to retake the NCLEX-RN and pass if selected to join our program.

Yes, Avant covers the fee for your NCLEX-RN exam.

If qualified for an interview with an Avant recruiter, we will provide a document outlining the main costs associated with the immigration process. This will help you plan for costs you’ll need to cover as well as provide clarity regarding the costs Avant will cover.

This will vary depending on your profession and qualifications. Most healthcare professionals on the Avant program will receive an EB-3 visa. Select candidates will be considered for H1-B, TN, or EB-2 visas.

In most cases, yes! For the EB-3 visa, we can include your legally married spouse and children under the age of 21 before US arrival.

Timeframes vary. The USCIS determines this by your visa category, priority date, and country of birth.

Avant Healthcare Professionals is your employer throughout the length of your assignment agreement.

Avant Healthcare Professionals staffs registered nurses and therapists in health systems of all sizes from critical access hospitals to academic teaching institutions.

We provide you with a strong pipeline of experienced, English-speaking healthcare professionals available for placement in your facility. Our healthcare professionals have an average of five to ten years of experience and provide for long-term staff stability – 90% of our nurses will convert to your staff at the end of their initial assignment. We handle everything from sponsoring our healthcare professionals to relocating them to your facility and community.

All our registered nurses must clear a special visa screen process and must pass an English fluency exam, have their foreign education evaluated for comparability to an identical U.S. education, apply for and pass the U.S. nursing licensing examination (NCLEX-RN), and have their foreign nursing license reviewed to make sure that it is authentic and unencumbered.
