Avant Healthcare Professionals Celebrates Completion of School Facelift Project with Ilbissil Township Comprehensive School in Kenya

This initiative reflects Avant’s commitment to improving access to education and healthcare worldwide through its Global Impact program.

In 2023, Avant Healthcare Professionals began its partnership with Ilbissil Township Comprehensive School, recognizing the school’s dedication to providing quality education despite limited resources. Avant aimed to amplify the school’s efforts to transform it into a space where students can dream big and reach their fullest potential.

Transforming Dreams into Reality
The facelift project included extensive classroom renovations, new roofs, windows, and doors, upgraded flooring, wall repairs, and fresh paint, revitalizing the school and creating an inspiring space for students and teachers alike. Earlier contributions in 2023—computers, printers, desks, school furniture, and uniforms—helped lay the foundation for this remarkable transformation.

Students returned from break to a completely transformed school environment that was clean, bright, and inspiring. The enhanced facilities have bolstered the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program, with community members now expressing interest in ICT learning during weekends. The new computers donated by Avant have significantly increased the school’s capacity to integrate technology into education and open new doors for students and community members alike.

Community Impact and Gratitude
The community has warmly embraced the transformation, expressing pride in the school’s new appearance and gratitude for the improved learning environment. Parents have shared that the changes have given students more hope and enabled them to focus better in a conducive and vibrant environment.

Elijah Soine, Chair of the Parent Association remarked, “The children are happy. They are very excited. Actually, there is more hope now and they are believing that they can now concentrate on their classes because the environment is very okay, very conducive.”

Principal Head Teacher Tom Lesiamon stated: “Our vision entails improvement of our learners to be responsible citizens in the community.
